Expert interviews on European current affairs

In the series expert interviews we speak with Maastricht University scientists from different disciplines about current events in Europe. By approaching current events from various disciplines, we provide insight into complex problems in Europe, across the boundaries of specific fields of research. We highlight European politics and policy, the socio-economic situation, ethical-medical issues, technology, education and much more. And so we make the various causes and consequences of a problem understandable.

European cooperation during the COVID-19 crisis

The first series of interviews is about European cooperation and the COVID-19 crisis. We give the floor to prominent scholars from Maastricht University to speak from their respective disciplines about the European challenges of the crisis. What is the state of European cooperation? What tensions do we see? What is agreed upon in Brussels and what in the member states? What are the differences and similarities between European countries and why?
